Sam Johnson
3rd Year law clerk

Sam Johnson was born in Dallas, Texas. After high school, Sam attended the University of Texas at Austin where Sam was a Resident Advisor at a private dormitory and also served as a new student mentor through the FIG program at the University. Sam was also a manager at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. He graduated from the University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Minor in Philosophy.

Sam is currently in his third year at South Texas College of Law where he has served on the Dean's Scholar list. He also had the opportunity to serve as a research assistant to Professor Tracy McGaugh. He is currently a Board Member and Notes Editor of Currents: International Trade Law Journal, and is the Recent Developments Editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law, which is published by the Business Law Section of the Texas State Bar. Sam is Vice President of the Student Bar Assoication at South Texas.

Sam joined The Burton Law Firm in May of 2006 as a law clerk. He has greatly enjoyed the ability to take what he is learning at school and apply it to his work at the Firm. He thoroughly enjoys the study of law, and tries each day to bring that passion to help The Burton Law Firm serve its clients as efficiently and successfully as possible.
